Resident Involvement At Deupree House we value the wealth of knowledge and diverse backgrounds our residents offer. Whether your experience as a CFO provides valuable input for our budget committee, your training as a chef might bring new ideas to our dining committee, or your green thumb helps us choose which plants to add to our garden, we value your contributions! Whatever your background or talent, we have a place for you to shine in the Deupree Community! Residents Committees serve various aspects of Deupree House and offer opportunities for involvement. The committees include the following:
Committee Descriptions: Archives Committee – maintains and files all printed material and photos pertaining to Deupree House. Budget Committee – meets regularly to review status of revenue and expenses. Reviews and recommends capital program budget proposals for next year. Dining Services Committee – meets monthly to review comment cards and provide feedback. Grounds Committee – with the help of the groundskeepers, members purchase plants and flowers, help maintain plantings, and develop seasonal master plans complete with garden maps which guide purchases made from the Memorial Fund. Health and Wellness Committee – promotes good health and wellness through informative programs, health screenings and special speakers. Library Committee – catalogs and re-shelves books that have been purchased, donated, or checked out. Maintenance and Safety Committee – works with the maintenance department on concerns related to maintenance and maintain a safety program for the residents and the building as a whole. Orientation Committee – helps to orient new residents to Deupree House and be available for any questions thereafter. Program Committee – suggests programs including weekly movies, and helps plan the monthly calendar of events for Deupree House Residents. Sip & Sup Committee – monthly social gathering where dining services provides the food and flatwear, and residents enjoy a friendly get-together. Staff Christmas Fund - this is a resident-driven and managed committee that provides monetary gifts to staff members at Christmas in gratitude for the excellent services provided all year long.
